Technology Transfer Application and Research Center

Trakya University's vision; It is a pioneer who is aware of the importance of university-industry cooperation, which creates awareness for both internal and external stakeholders, supports scientific works and development areas with a potential for social benefit, facilitates and promotes the processes for transforming knowledge produced in university into practice and transforms advanced technology into solutions that create added value. to become a university.

In line with the determined vision, Trakya University Technology Transfer Application and Research Center, which was established and responsible for carrying out university-industry cooperation, was designed to bring together domestic and international companies working in the field of advanced technology and to establish mechanisms that enable them to create synergies with the university.

The regulation of Trakya University Technology Transfer Application and Research Center came into force with the official newspaper dated 28 December 2017 and numbered 30284. The duties and fields of activity of the Center, which is structured within the structure of the Rectorate, are:

a)  To improve the cooperation between the university and the industry and to increase the widespread impact of all activities, to provide information, publicity and educational services in order to raise awareness, to provide the inventory of the university's academic knowledge and experiences to match the needs of the industry, to contribute to raising the level of knowledge, consciousness and accumulation in this field by contacting institutions and organizations and centers for networking activities.

b) To raise awareness among academics on national and international financial or grant support programs for services to benefit from support programs and to develop announcement mechanisms for benefiting from project supports and to organize activities.

c) Providing support for the development of project and management of projects, development of projects and information related to the promotion of the R & D projects between the industry and the University for the project development / management services. In addition, by organizing activities such as organizing project market and project competition activities and organizing activities such as organizing projects in order to eliminate the problems arising from the analysis by providing test and analysis services for the industry in accordance with the facilities of the University.

d) Support for the management of intellectual property rights and licensing services throughout the entire process, including patent, utility model, application for industrial design, monitoring of the process, marketing and commercialization of proprietary rights and licensing agreements within the scope of intellectual property rights. Provide services to provide.

e) To provide access to venture capital for corporate and entrepreneurship services, to provide consultancy services, to provide services for training and to organize activities to create awareness about these issues, to support the establishment of structures such as incubation centers, to provide support to the companies which are established by students or academicians.

 

 Technology Transfer Application and Research Center is active in the field with the teaching staff and staff. There is a board of 7 people in the center.

Duties of the Board of Directors:

a) Making decisions on issues related to the work of the center and management.

b) To establish the annual activity report and annual work program of the Center and to present to the approval of the Rector. To apply after the approval of the Rector.

c) To prepare the center's strategy, long-term working plans and to present to the Rector. To apply after the approval of the Rector.

d) Providing staff and other needs of the Center to the Rector.

e) To support the activities and projects approved by the University Administrative Board for the purposes of the Center.

f)  Work groups and staff to take part in these groups and to follow up activities.

In accordance with these fields of activity, Trakya University Technology Transfer Application and Research Center carries out its activities through 5 sub-modules.

Within the Technology Transfer Application and Research Center;

Module 1: AWARENESS, INTRODUCTION, INFORMATION AND TRAINING SERVICES; Conducting sector-oriented trainings, seminars and activities in order to increase the awareness and awareness of University Industry Collaboration among students, academics and industrialists,

Module 2: SERVICES FOR BENEFITS OF SUPPORT PROGRAMS; Providing information about funding sources through Project Support Office, giving project writing and execution support,

Module 3: UNIVERSITY INDUSTRY COOPERATION SERVICES; Academic consultancy, university test and laboratory facilities and joint project development through the University Industry Cooperation Office.

Module 4: INTELLECTUAL INDUSTRY MANAGEMENT AND LICENSING SERVICES; Consultancy for your patent and utility models through the Patent Office.

Module 5: COMPANYING AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP SERVICES; It provides corporate and institutionalization support through the Entrepreneurship Office.

Centrally; was established in order to benefit from funding sources, to write projects, to carry out university-industry cooperation, to consult on Intellectual Property Rights Management and Licensing Services.
